Message from the Chairman

I would like to welcome you to the website of the Huntington Republican Committee.

It is my hope that this website will serve as a valuable resource to learn about our candidates and the issues concerning the residents of the Town of Huntington.

First, I want to convey my heartfelt thanks and best wishes for Assemblyman Jim Conte.  Jim and I have worked together for more years than I wish to admit and I am deeply honored to have had that experience.  Jim has fought long and hard for his constituents in Albany, but now he faces the biggest fight which is his health.  I am sad to see him go but his legacy both in the Assembly and in Huntington will be everlasting.

Second, Republicans are looking forward to making more gains this coming  November setting us up for a historical change right up to the White House.  Among our candidates running this season, I am excited about:

• Andrew Raia in the new 12th Assembly District
• Chad Lupinacci in the 10th Assembly District
• Carl Marcellino in the 5th Senate District
• Stephen L. Labate for the new 3rd Congressional District

Lastly, the race for the White House will be a tough one.  It has been said so many times in the past, but this is truly one of the most important elections in our lifetime.  The Romney/Ryan ticket is the best hope we have to reversing the damage done to our economy and our individual freedoms brought upon by our current leadership.  It is important to make sure you vote!

As always, the Republican Party remains the source for ideas and issues that impact on the people of Huntington.  On this site, you will see our current elected officials, our future candidates, and most important – how you can help contribute to a Republican victory for the November, 2012 elections.

We have an open door at our headquarters and we are always looking for more volunteers and candidates.  Feel free to stop in and say hello, volunteer, or make a donation to help us continue our success in 2012.
